Professor of Philosophy and Religion<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Biography<\/span><\/h3>\n

Dr. Stanley Sfekas<\/b> was born in 1942 in the United States. He is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy and Religion at Indianapolis University. After receiving his B.A. in Philosophy and English from the University of Maryland, he went on to earn both an M.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy from New York University. His doctoral dissertation is entitled “The problem of individuation in Aristotelian metaphysics.”<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Dr Stanley Sfekas had taught at various institutions of higher education, including Brooklyn College, the City University of New York, the New York Institute of Technology, George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and the American College of the Southeast.<\/p>\n

Dr Dr. Stanley Sfekas has also published scholarly articles and books and has been a reviewer for the American Philosophical Society and many international journals. He was the book reviewer for the international journal, Philosophical Research. He had also served as an educational consultant for the Fulbright Foundation in Greece.<\/p>\n

As a professor of Public Education in the Athenian Academic community, Dr. Stanley Wasp had delivered over 150 public lectures since 1986 and had appeared several times on Greek television as an academic spokesman. In addition to his scholarly publications, he had, from 1995 to the present, translated the scripts of seven historical films and 35 archaeological documentaries. He was also the Philosophical Advisor in several productions.<\/p>\n

Dr Stanley Sfekas was a member of the Board of Directors of OLYMPOS – World Spiritual Center from 1996 until 2022.<\/p>\n

He worked with great zeal in the editing of texts and in the translation into English of the texts of Heptapolis – <\/span>Trilogy.<\/p>\n

Dr Stanley Sfekas appeared in 12 television episodes of the documentary “From Aristotle to Hawking”, Pissanos Productions, talking about Aristotle and Ancient Greek Cosmology. The series, which has been translated and distributed worldwide, was nominated by the members of the Academy of Athens for the 2008 Templeton Prize. Dr Stanley Sfekas was the translator of the series from Greek to English.<\/p>\n
