Biography

Visual artist specializing in the field of Heraldic art – ecosemology and the illustration of manuscripts from the Western Medieval Tradition. She is a graduate of the Department of Theatre Studies of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a Master’s degree from the same department.

At the same time he holds a second Master’s degree in Heraldic Art from the University of Humanities of Lisbon. He holds a PhD in “Art & Religion” from Unilogos University in Florida, USA.

He has created coats of arms for the Royal Houses of England, Serbia, Austria, Portugal and Egypt, which he personally presented to their members.

At the same time he has made family coats of arms in Greece and abroad, personal coats of arms for individuals, municipal coats of arms, hotel and institutional logos, book illustrations, etc.

In November 2011 he was accepted by the Society of Heraldic Arts of the United Kingdom, which places him among the most important heraldic artists internationally.

He is the only Greek ever admitted there. In 2017, he received the appointment of “Herald – Epikyrograph” of the Sultanate of the Philippines and Ν. Borneo, by the head of this dynasty, Sultan Mouetzul Lail Tam Kiram of Sulu, whom he represents in Greece.

– Honorary Award from the Prefecture of Arta, for his series of works on “Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Monuments of Arta”. Athens 2009.

– 1st Painting Award from the “Parnassos Literary Association”. Athens 2009.

– UNESCO Honorary Distinction 2013.

– Honorary Award from the Municipality of Tripoli, for the emblem of the city. Tripoli 2014.

Abroad:

– Gold Medal of Honour from the Austrian organization ALBERTO SWITZER for his overall artistic work. Vienna 2011.

– Cross of Honour of Otto of Habsburg, for his work. Vienna 2011.

– Diamond Jubilee Medal of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom for his work “Queen Elisabeth II – A Diamond Jubilee”. London 2012.

– Order of the Grand Cross of the Grand Master & Prince Afonso of Portugal from the Sovereign Order of the Knights of Jerusalem, Rhodes and Malta for his series of works on the coats of arms of the Grand Masters of Portugal, in the context of the 900th anniversary of the founding of the Order. Azores 2013.

– Honorary Gold Medal from the Museum of the Geographical Society of Portugal, for his series of works on the “Coats of Arms of the Portuguese Navigators of the 15th century”. Lisbon 2013.

– Order of the Grand Cross of the Order of the Pearl from the Sultanate of the Philippines and the Sultanate of B. Borneo. London 2017.

– Order of the Grand Cross of the Order of Pakhribas. Nepal 2017.
